President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Ciawi Dam in Bogor, West Java, expecting it to significantly reduce flooding in Jakarta. The dam, with a capacity of 6.05 million cubic meters, is part of a two-dam system, along with the Sukamahi Dam, designed to regulate water flow into the Ciliwung River. The project cost IDR 1.3 trillion and is expected to lessen the impact of extreme weather events.
